The PVC Bendit can exceed 500 degrees fahrenheit when the pipe is inside the closed BendStation and that is why you will need to rotate your pipe frequently.
You may use the 1,500 watt Router Speed Control, or similar Dimmer, to control the voltage flowing through the PVC Bendit Tool which results in your being able to control, within limits, the temperature of the PVC Bendit.
With experience you will be able to set the Control so the temperature of PVC Bendit will not heat to high which will allow you more time to work with the PVC Pipe and achieve the bends you desire. You can also find these at Harbor Freight
We also suggest using an instant read digital thermometer to measure the heat on the PVC Bendit and/or PVC Pipe. The Polder Digital Thermometer is around $19.00 at hardware and other stores.
