How PVC Bendit can increase sales at your hardware store

Your customers will visit your hardware store every time they make a new project with PVC Bendit
PVC Bendit is a tool that has no real competition.  While there are other benders on the market, they are generally overpriced, bulky and very limited in the length of bends that one can make.  We provide the longest bends and most affordable solution available today, and with this, we are dramatically increasing the amount of things that people can do with PVC pipe.  Because of this new versatility, and as the applications unfold, more and more people in many different industries will seek it out as the best way to bend PVC. The ability to bend PVC, believe it or not, is the ability to start a company out of one’s garage.  Naturally, any manufacturing process requires raw material, and the more expensive and specialized the material, the more prohibitive the start-up cost becomes.  Many of our clients are operating on shoe-string budgets that are entirely generated from sales of their products.  The companies grow at the speed of their sales.  By putting a bend where there would have been fittings, people are able to produce more professional looking products at a lower cost.  Not only do they save money on fittings, they also save time on the fitting process.

While PVC is not known as a versatile material, the ability to bend it makes it so.  Due to various non-disclosure agreements, we cannot always say the specific products that are being developed, but we can certainly enumerate the industries that are already benefiting from the newfound ability to bend PVC.  From swimming pool manufacturers, the health care industry, sporting goods start-ups, electricians and hobbyists all the way out to large aerospace industry contractors and even the postal service, we’re making big splashes everywhere we land.  Products are hitting the market that were not possible before the advent of PVC Bendit.

We are providing solutions to a VERY wide array of problems.

We have had many occasions where our clients have had a very specific idea of what they wanted to make and were not sure what material would work for the job.  They are usually stuck with a laundry list of costly options that almost always require at least one subcontractor to do materials preparation for them.  For all but the big fish, this immediately stifles whatever innovation they had and sends it back to the shelf to be rediscovered by another inventor in another time.  Then they stumble on us.  We are working with a lightweight, durable, inexpensive, semi flexible and widely available material and a tool that is comparable in cost to a mid-range drill.  We talk with them, find out what they are trying to do, and a lot of the time, PVC pipe is perfect for the task.

So, what does this have to do with sales at your store?

We’ll use our last big R&D push as an example.  When we perfected the function and assembly of the PVC Bendit, we needed to bend a lot of PVC.  Our workshop is not far from a hardware store, and we ran out of pipe almost every other day.  That means that we went back to the hardware store almost every other day, too.  Not only did we buy pipe, we bought fittings, cement, primer, pipe cleaner, spray paint, M.E.K., glue sticks for forms, hinges, etc.  During some of these trips, we’d pick up an energy drink or some candy, too.  (No, Reese, we didn’t invoice you for that!)  If you were to check PVC pipe and accessory sales during those two months compared to those same two months the previous year, you’d see a noticeable increase.  We spent thousands of dollars.  This is the effect of the introduction of a single bender to an area.  The fact is, before we arrived on the scene, PVC was the stuff that carried away dirty dishwater.  That means it was only sold for plumbing applications.

Now someone with an idea that lives in your area has the ability to see that idea realized.  As they go through the trial and error process, they will be back at your store on a very regular basis buying your products until you’ve got to increase the amounts you order.  As their business grows, they will return with larger orders to fill.  As their enthusiasm for bending PVC grows, they will branch out into other ideas and return again and again because you are the one who opened these doors for them.  When their friends ask where they got that snappy new tool, they will refer them to your store.

I was loyal to the hardware store that sold me my first hammer until I moved out of that town.  The same will be for the hardware store that sells someone their first bender.
