This is the best tool available for heat bending PVC pipe. We don't say that because we make it, we say it because our customer feedback tells us so. Anyone who has used them knows it's true.
PVC Bendit's revolutionary design heats pipe from the inside, allowing the pipe to soften more uniformly unlike any other method available. The PVC Pipe fits in the BendStation which keeps heat in the PVC Pipe as it is heating.
We want you to stop worrying about the PVC pipe bending process and focus on what you're building. We also want you to be able to do things your competitors can't even dream of.

After purchasing the bendit, I gave it a go on 1 1/2" and 2" pipe. I ran into the following issues, on it's own it's slow, I sped up the process with another company's pipe heating product. The other issue is is that there needs to be sleeves or springs for it, after you've gotten a piece of 1 1/2" or 2" hot enough to bend and go to bend it, it's not a smooth bend as the heater itself is quite a bit smaller than the pipe, yes it is better than heating it and bending it without it however it is not as good as I had hoped. In my opinion unless you purchase bending springs from greenlee or someone I probably would bend much over 1" with it unless you're ok with a bulge (it flattens like a cobra neck except for where the heater is) it might work out better if you've got a bunch of time to spend on one bend though, however when a 2" 90deg elbow is only $5 it's hard to justify spending a bunch of time on a bend.
Comments from PVC Bendit. We suggest purchasing smaller diameter flexible metal conduit to insert inside the PVC Pipe around the PVC Bendit, Doing this helps the PVC pipe heat more evenly. It will also help keep the PVC Pipe from ovaling as you bend it and it can be removed easily unlike the spring. The conduit is available at Lowes/Home Depot.
