Insulation to place the PVC Pipe in while heating.  It is also used to provide a safe environment to lay a hot PVC Bendit tool on during the heating or cooling process.

The fiberglass will not ignite and it serves as a thermal barrier which holds the heat in the PVC and decreases bend times dramatically.

Note: These originally were included with your Bendit Tool but they have been replaced with carbonized felt "PAN" which is the black material included with the PVC Bendits.
