The BendStation is primarily used to provide a safe environment to house the PVC Pipe and/or the PVC Bendit tool during the heating process. It acts as a thermal barrier which holds the heat in the PVC and decreases bend times dramatically. Note: One 3' BendStation is included with your 3A and/or 3B PVC Bendit Tool so unless you really want an extra BendStation you do not need to order this item.

 

The Bendstation is actually Coated fiberglass pipe insulation and for our purposes 1/2" thick insulation is all you need.  You can purchase from Grainger and other HVAC distributors.

 

A Series Bendstation has an ID of 1 3/8"

B Series Bendstation has an ID of 2 1/8".   PVC Schedule 40 1 1/2" has an OD of 1.90"
